Jeff Grady currently serves as the President/CEO of the Florida Association of Insurance Agents, a trade group representing more than 2100 independent agencies throughout the state of Florida. Jeff received his Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from Florida State University in December 1987, and shortly thereafter, began his professional career in banking where he served as a thrift examiner and later, business development officer for the Federal Home Loan Bank of Atlanta. In April 1994, he transitioned from banking to trade association work by returning to his home state and joining the Florida Bankers Association (FBA) as vice president, Thrift Banker Executive. In 1996, Jeff was tapped to lead the Community Bankers of Florida as its executive director and served in this post until joining FAIA in 1998.
Jeff has served on numerous industry and state government working groups and currently serves on the national level as a member of IIABA’s Professional Liability Committee and as a board member of the Big I Reinsurance Company (BIRC).
Jeff is a tireless advocate on behalf of independent insurance agents in the legislative process at both the state and federal level. He is widely recognized as a leader in the insurance industry, a trusted media source on Florida insurance matters, as well as a frequent speaker and panelist for national and local insurance forums.
Jeff has served as a volunteer for several community groups and non-profits, previously serving as chairman of the board of the American Heart Association, Leon County Division and also vice chairman on the Board of Trustees of Capital Regional Medical Center, Tallahassee. Jeff currently serves as a member on the board of the Disabled Veterans Insurance Careers (DVIC).
Jeff lives in Tallahassee, Florida, and has two daughters, Kelsie and Julianne. He enjoys golf, bass fishing, and all recreational sports, and is an avid FSU Seminole fan.
