Conference Room Webinars
Save bandwidth by arranging a conference room webinar! FAIA worked with the Florida Department of Financial Services to establish a system to establish procedures that meet continuing education requirements. Here’s how it works:
- Students should register and pay for the course separately, as if they would be taking the class alone at their desk.
- When it’s time for the class, log into the webinar using any one of the students’ registrations. A manager must begin and end each webinar with the room of students, and spot check during the class to be sure they are paying attention.
- The instructor will periodically conduct an attendance check; someone in the room must respond! If the attendance check asks for names and DFS license numbers, enter all students’ names and license numbers. (Consider preparing a Word document in advance of the class for quick access to this information.)
- At the end of the class, each student must print and sign the affidavit, and the supervising manager must sign each affidavit. Note: CE will not be granted if the DFS audits a class and a student does not show up in the attendance check, or does not have the supervising manager’s signature on his affidavit.
