PIP repeal poised for passage?

It’s still too early to predict with any certainty, but Florida’s mandatory no-fault system could be scrapped for mandatory bodily injury coverage as soon as January of 2018. Though the House and Senate bills are far apart, PIP repeal continues to move forward. Read Kyle Ulrich’s blog for an update on this and other legislative issues FAIA is working on this session.

Citizens announces improvements to PolicyCenter process

The welcome changes, made by Citizens staff and IT working with feedback provided by members of the Citizens Agent Roundtable, should help agents avoid late submission violations. Review the Personal Lines Bulletin for a summary of the changes.

And in case you missed it, the Florida Office of Insurance Regulation  has approved Weston Insurance to remove up to 10,511 personal residential policies from the Coastal Account in the June take-out period.


Why you should quote cyber on every risk, every time

March ended with cheers and confetti at in celebration of its best month yet. March was the highest-month ever for:

  •  Traffic: 518,000-plus insurance shoppers visited—the first month with more than a half a million visitors.
  •  Organic traffic: More than 370,000 visitors, thanks in large part to the Trusted Choice State SEO program, of which FAIA is an enthusiastic participant.
  •  Referrals delivered: Over 11,100.

Also in March, St. Johns Insurance Co. went live on for personal lines. Appointed agents can show their support by placing more business with the carrier.
