The new TrustedChoice.com is live

 Permanent link

It’s similar to the old TrustedChoice.com, but the new site includes much more comprehensive information and links, taking advantage of independent agents’ “strength in numbers” factor by linking thousands of independent agents on one website.

But we’ll have very little strength and few numbers if member agencies don’t sign up and their agency profile. Simple instructions can be found on our website.

(What consumers will know as TrustedChoice.com is what we’ve been referring to as the Consumer Agent Portal, or Project CAP. Think of CAP as the business end of the equation.)

Get in the digital game

Exhaustive research shows that almost 80 percent of consumers research insurance options online, and independent agents need to be visible and accessible to those consumers if they want to remain viable in the 21st Century personal lines business.

Though it may be tempting to wait and see how things turn out, there are many reasons to forge ahead. Perhaps the biggest reason of all is that the sooner Florida agents populate the Consumer Portal, the sooner online rating will come to our state. States need at least seven percent of their members to sign up for the Portal before quote functionality can be launched.

Signing up also maximizes your agency’s visibility among consumers, because Portal participating agencies are shown first in the TrustedChoice.com search results. (All Trusted Choice agencies still show up in search results, but those who do not sign up for the Consumer Portal appear beneath portal-participation agencies and the information that appears is not as comprehensive.)

Project Cap is the right product at the right time. Is it perfect? No it’s not perfect, but Project CAP has assembled an advisory board made up of state association executives whose job it is to look out for your best interest.

Think about how many endeavors you would have passed up in your life if you waited for perfection. Now is the time. As Project CAP CEO Chip Bacciocco says, “nobody gets to be last, and everyone has to be first.”

Help independent agents reach critical mass online; sign up for the Project Cap Consumer Portal today.
