How Can I qualify to Become an All-Lines Adjuster?


  • Be a natural person at least 18 years of age.
  • Be a bona fide resident of this state.
  • Take and pass the required all lines adjuster exam. NOTE: Applicants qualifying for licensure as an adjuster who hold the designation of CPCU, Accredited Claims Adjuster (ACA) or Professional Claims Adjuster (PCA) are not required to sit for the examination.
  • Be trustworthy and have such business reputation as would reasonably assure that the applicant will conduct his business as insurance adjuster fairly and in good faith and without detriment to the public.
  • Have had sufficient experience, training, or instruction concerning the adjusting of damage or loss under insurance contracts, other than life and annuity contracts; is sufficiently informed as the terms and the effects of the provisions of such types of contracts; possesses adequate knowledge of the insurance laws of Florida relating to such contracts so as to enable and qualify the applicant to engage in the business of insurance adjuster fairly and without injury to the public or any member thereof with whom the applicant may have relations as an insurance adjuster; and to adjust all claims in accordance with the policy or contract and the insurance laws of this state.
  • NOTE: There is no pre-licensing educational requirement for adjuster applicants.
  • When applicable, provide a Letter of Clearance
